The white heart ductile cast iron (FCMW380-7) manufactured at our headquarters factory has the following features: 1. It is a cast iron product that can be welded. 2. It has toughness and is resistant to cracking. 3. It can be molded into thin and complex shapes in one piece. In fact, these features are also found in cast steel products (such as SC410). As can be seen from the JIS numbers, cast steel products are stronger in terms of strength. So, what are the advantages of white heart ductile cast iron over cast steel products? It is the lower product price. Cast steel products have a higher melting temperature compared to other cast iron products (FC or FCD), resulting in higher manufacturing costs and a greater frequency of defects such as shrinkage cavities. Due to these characteristics, cast steel products tend to be more expensive than other cast iron products. This is where our white heart ductile cast iron comes into play! With white heart ductile cast iron, we can lower the melting temperature compared to cast steel products during casting.
