By conducting the α-glucosidase test, it is possible to differentiate between the genera Bacteroides and Fusobacterium!
This product is a simple enzyme reaction reagent that can differentiate between the genera Bacteroides and Fusobacterium. Positive bacterial species include Bacteroides fragilis, Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron, Parabacteroides distasonis, Phocaeicola vulgatus, and Prevotella bivia. Negative bacterial species include Porphyromonas asaccharolytica, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Bilophila wadsworthia, and Desulfovibrio desulfuricans. 【Instructions for Use (Using Microtubes)】 1. Add 20-50 μl of sterile water to the microtube. 2. Use a toothpick or similar tool to take an appropriate amount of colony and suspend it to create a concentrated bacterial solution. 3. Add an equal amount of α-glucosidase reagent to the suspension and mix. 4. Incubate at 35°C to 37°C for 10 to 15 minutes. 5. Shine UV light to check for fluorescence (blue-white) presence. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

【Usage Instructions (Using Filter Paper)】 1. Prepare two pieces of filter paper cut to an appropriate size for the petri dish. 2. Soak one piece of filter paper with α-glucosidase reagent. 3. Take a sufficient amount of the sample with a toothpick or similar tool and rub it onto the filter paper. 4. Soak the remaining piece of filter paper with distilled water (for moisture), cover the petri dish, and incubate at 35°C to 37°C for 10 to 15 minutes. 5. Shine UV light and check for the presence of fluorescence (bluish-white). *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

As we enter the 21st century, the development of science and technology, including information technology (IT) and biotechnology, is accelerating, presenting new possibilities for people's lives. On the other hand, issues such as environmental pollution caused by chemical substances and the emergence and resurgence of infectious diseases due to microorganisms have not been overcome even with the latest scientific technologies, and are instead becoming more serious and complex. In this situation, the importance of the work of researchers, engineers, and healthcare professionals tackling these problems that threaten people's health will continue to grow. We aim to contribute to these individuals through the provision of instruments and consumables in the fields of environmental analysis, measurement, and microbiological research. We will reflect on what we can do and what we can uniquely offer, striving to provide unique value.
