We would like to introduce a case where our "RecurDyn" was implemented at BorgWarner Morse Systems Japan Co., Ltd., which mainly handles internal combustion engine timing chain systems and variable valve (cam) timing systems. The decision to consider implementation arose from the feeling that without advancing development using analytical technology for the three-dimensional movement of chains, the scattering of chain oil, and lubrication evaluation, we would face difficulties in the future. The realization that our product's nonlinear elastic body function (F-Flex) could be used very effectively to meet the need for evaluating the lifespan and strength by changing the material properties of the chain was a significant factor in the decision to implement it.
