Director Mini integrates functions such as multi-input video switching, graphics, streaming, recording, and monitoring into a single compact device, allowing one operator to easily produce live broadcasts of events and remote production feeds. Users can simultaneously switch between two HDMI inputs and two USB AV inputs, as well as three live IP sources, including SRT, RTMP, RTSP, NDI High Bandwidth, and NDI HX sources. HTML web pages and file-based media assets that include video, audio, and images can also be freely combined with live sources.

Director Mini supports standard NDI High-Bandwidth and NDI HX3. It can simultaneously capture up to three NDI sources, one of which can be used as a motion graphics overlay with an NDI alpha channel. Additionally, it can provide two NDI HX3 outputs simultaneously, selected from program output, input sources, or program, preview, and source multiview.

Content can also be recorded to an SD card or the device's internal storage. For 2-channel ISO recording, you can choose from program output, HDMI input, or USB input.

The Director Mini can be powered by the included power adapter, but it also supports two hot-swappable NP-F external batteries (sold separately), allowing for use anywhere and ensuring uninterrupted power during long productions. When one battery runs out during a performance, it automatically switches to the other battery.
