It is used for testing the abrasion resistance of fabrics such as clothing, shoes, textile home goods, and automobiles.

This device, also known as the Stoll Quartermaster Wear Testing Machine, allows for five different settings and can conduct many tests. - Expansion membrane (included with the device) - Flexural wear (included with the device) - Frosting attachment (optional): This includes felt pads, a sample placement device, and a sample holder. - Elastomer pad/pilling test (optional): An elastomer pad is attached to the aforementioned frosting attachment. Another elastomer friction pad is attached to the friction head. (If using the elastomer pad, please purchase the frosting attachment separately.) - Edge wear (optional): This sample holder allows for three different sample holding methods for wear at the edge or crease of the fabric.
