It helps improve sealing performance, thermal measures, and reduce the cost of sealing jigs.
The EO ring code is a sealing material developed as the optimal sealing method through seal research for leak testing. It comes in a 3-meter string form and can be cut to any desired length for use. There is also an "EO Ring Kit" that includes the necessary equipment for adhesion.

basic information
The cross-section is an oval-shaped, string-like oval O-ring, which can be cut to any length, and the ends are glued together to form a ring for use. The EO ring cord with an oval cross-section allows for a larger crush allowance compared to O-rings, making it possible to insert spacers to prevent contact between the workpiece and the jig surface, thus providing thermal insulation measures. Additionally, it significantly enhances sealing performance.

Applications/Examples of results
◆Improvement of sealing performance Due to the oval shape, a larger crush allowance can be taken, enhancing sealing performance. It is difficult to escape due to the oval shape and can be used even on relatively narrow sealing surfaces. ◆Heat countermeasures With a large crush allowance due to the oval shape, spacers (stoppers) can be installed between the workpiece and the jig. This allows for thermal insulation between the workpiece and the jig, minimizing the influence of jig temperature and enabling stable measurements. ◆Reduction of sealing jig costs It can accommodate complex sealing shapes, eliminating the need for dedicated gaskets or molds for gaskets. Even when making O-rings with molds, they can be used for prototypes. O-ring kits allow for the inexpensive production of O-rings in various sizes.

The Air Leak Tester from Cosmo Instruments started with the automation of cylinder block airtightness testing in 1970. It is utilized in various fields such as automotive parts, gas, water supply, medical, electrical, electronics, and food industries. Since 1983, we have begun our overseas expansion in line with the overseas development of Japanese automotive manufacturers. Currently, we are conducting proposal activities and after-sales service activities similar to those in Japan from 24 locations in 13 countries. Recently, to respond to the electrification of automobiles, we have enabled leak testing of electrification components such as battery cases and inverters, as well as fitting tests for various power connectors, contributing to our customers' CO2 emission reduction efforts. Additionally, we have donated pressure measurement equipment to technical schools in South Asia and Southeast Asia to improve the quality of education, engaged in technical exchanges with local machinery manufacturers, and worked to enhance the industrial foundation through the production of high-quality leak testing equipment locally. We will continue to deliver the value of "quality" by applying our wisdom on-site for our customers and to contribute to the development of local communities.
