[Proposal Example] In jig design, use standard parts such as colored components for the design.
If it's a generic product, cost reductions of up to about half are possible!
We would like to introduce our examples of VA/VE proposals. In a project where we were requested to manufacture parts by a customer, there was a need to produce a color according to the drawings. When we proposed the cost of manufacturing it ourselves, we received feedback that the cost was not feasible. Therefore, we reviewed the materials used when we previously designed and manufactured jigs, and discovered that a color with a similar shape was being produced by a general manufacturer as a standard product. We then made this proposal to the customer. [Case Overview] ■ Issue: Manufacturing the color as a custom part is not cost-effective ■ Proposal: We proposed to the customer that a color with a similar shape is being manufactured by a general manufacturer as a standard product. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
