Efficiently remove HCP with a unique HCP affinity resin that is unlike any other.
HCPure is a new unique mixed-mode ligand specially designed for the capture of host cell proteins (HCP). It features moderate hydrophobic and polar groups, interacting with proteins through a combination of hydrophobic and electrostatic interactions. Selected from Astrea Bioseparations' Chemical Combinatorial Library, HCPure effectively binds a wide range of host cell proteins from various sources, including bacteria and mammalian cells such as CHO, HEK293, and E. coli, while showing minimal binding to important target biological compounds like monoclonal antibodies and viral vectors. Based on the PuraBead 6HF matrix, HCPure possesses complete alkali stability, allowing for cleaning and sterilization with 0.5M or 1M NaOH, supporting high flow rates, low back pressure, and long operational lifetimes. HCPure is particularly suitable for a wide range of biopharmaceutical polishing processes, especially when the removal of HCP is challenging or when conventional mixed-mode resins are insufficient.

Applications/Examples of results
HCPure is a mixed mode chromatography resin. It has high selectivity due to its mixed mode of HIC and hydrogen bonding, and can be adjusted by changing chromatography conditions, allowing for the removal of impurities from many different expression systems, including but not limited to CHO, E. coli, HEK 293, Pichia Pastoris, Saccharomyces Cerevisiae, and Spodoptera frugiperda (Sf9 and Sf21). Others: Removes host cell proteins, host cell DNA, endotoxins, light chain IgG, and high molecular weight aggregates. Accommodates a wide range of raw materials generated from multiple expression systems. Fosters a unique operational space compared to other commercial products, providing alternative HCP removal strategies. Demonstrates consistent performance across a wide range of pH and conductivity. Suitable for applications such as antibody and antibody derivative workflows, recombinant proteins, lentiviruses, and AAV.
