Construction plan for a temperature-controlled warehouse for storing herbal medicines. Evaluating proposals from design firms and considering the best options.
We would like to introduce a case study of problem-solving at Tochimoto Tenkaido, which has been advancing plans for the construction of a temperature-controlled warehouse for raw materials used in traditional Chinese medicine. Upon reviewing the design proposal from the architectural firm, I felt that as it stood, there were challenges regarding future maintenance and compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) concerning the management of pharmaceutical raw materials. It was necessary to make improvements to create a "usable building." Therefore, we made significant changes to the design content proposed by the architectural firm, enabling us to create a "usable building" for the client. 【Case Overview】 ■ Challenge: GMP compliance (pest and rodent prevention, temperature control) ■ Solution: Insulated interior walls (pest and rodent prevention, temperature control) ■ Industry: Manufacturing ■ Warehouse Type: Temperature-controlled warehouse ■ Stored Items: Pharmaceutical raw materials *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
