Research and Development of Cancer Screening Test Kits [Saitama University, Faculty of Engineering]
Utilization of calmodulin-binding peptides that bind to midkine!
We would like to introduce the research and development of a cancer screening test kit. "Calmodulin-binding peptide (CBP)" can be applied as a peptide aptamer for detecting midkine (MK) in screening test kits. Since it does not bind to similar epitopes, which is a challenge with antibodies, it has high specificity. Additionally, it can be manufactured using chemical synthesis methods, allowing for a cost reduction to less than 1/10 of conventional methods. [Features] ■ Binding affinity of MK-CBP - Strong intermolecular interactions confirmed ■ Specificity of MK-CBP binding - mtCBP (mutant type) showed high specificity for MK *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
