Significant contribution to your company's Scope 3 emissions reduction: Low CO2 steel (green steel) produced with electric furnaces and renewable energy.
Tokyo Steel's green steel product "Almost Zero" is a new low CO2 steel material born from a future-oriented spirit of challenge. The CO2 emissions from electric arc furnace steelmaking are approximately 0.4 tons per ton of crude steel, of which 0.3 tons is due to electricity (Scope 2). Therefore, by utilizing non-fossil certificates and "Demand Response (Up DR)," we have reduced CO2 emissions caused by electricity. The CO2 emissions of this product are calculated based on the "ISO 14067" and "Carbon Footprint Guidelines (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ministry of the Environment)" and represent the carbon footprint (CFP). [Key Points] - CO2 emissions are "almost zero" (approximately 0.1 tons of CO2 emissions per ton of crude steel; for reference, blast furnace: about 2 tons, electric furnace: about 0.4 tons) - Cost-effective pricing unique to electric furnaces (Brand EX ¥6,000/ton) - Verified by a third-party organization - Products delivered to customers with the same quality and delivery time as regular products, regardless of type *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Tokyo Steel Manufacturing Co., Ltd. not only produces so-called electric furnace products such as small-shaped steel and deformed bars using the electric furnace method, but has also been involved in the production of competing products with blast furnace manufacturers, including H-shaped steel, steel sheet piles, thick plates, square steel pipes, as well as hot coils, strip coils, pickled coils, and hot-dip galvanized coils. By promoting the "recycling" of iron scrap, a valuable domestic resource, we are reducing the import of iron ore, coal, and other materials that lead to large amounts of CO2 emissions, thus greatly contributing to the overall reduction of CO2 emissions in society.
