A slight anomaly in the surface can spark quality issues. Stay ahead with spGate.
At Company B, a press die manufacturer, there were concerns that subtle distortions in curved surfaces, if left unaddressed, could cause significant problems in later processes, leading to a demand for cause analysis and visualization. Although distortions are generally unlikely to occur in models created in CAD, increasing control points through "expected deformation" can locally induce distortions in curved surfaces. [Detection Method Using spGate] Based on the guidelines established by JAMA/JAPIA, checks are conducted for breaks between surfaces, micro patches, self-interference, and minimum curvature radius. Additionally, by enhancing visibility with zebra mapping and displaying curvature changes as a color map through polygonization, it becomes possible to detect defects not only in the X and Y axes but also in arbitrary directions.

basic information
"spGate" is an all-in-one product developed as an evolved form of a data translator to connect the four main processes in manufacturing: design, analysis, processing, and inspection. It enables smooth data exchange between these intricately intertwined processes. Additionally, it supports a wide range of file formats, eliminating the need to purchase expensive options to accommodate the data formats of new business partners. 【Features】 ■ Defect detection according to PDQ guidelines ■ Easier defect correction functionality than CAD systems ■ Reduced analysis time and confidentiality protection through simplification ■ Instantly reduce a 50,000 surface CAD model to 1,000 surfaces ■ Simulation of the occurrence of wrinkles
