Automating the press machine's work set with a collaborative robot!
In many metal processing sites, operators stand in front of the press machine, placing one part at a time and removing the formed parts as part of their daily routine. We are implementing an automation system using collaborative robots for processes called single-stroke presses, where humans manually set and remove parts.

basic information
- The collaborative robot is mounted on a mobile base, making it easy to connect and disconnect from the press machine. When not in use, it can be repurposed for other processes. The brand of the collaborative robot used is DOBOT CR10. - The robot stand is equipped with a safety laser sensor that can instantly detect approaching individuals and automatically switch to low-speed operation or stop. - Parts are pre-set in the **workstock fixture (supply side)**, from which the robot retrieves the workpieces and feeds them into the press machine. - An inspection fixture is placed on the retrieval side, where the robot automatically retrieves the processed workpieces and conducts inspections. It distinguishes between good and defective products and discharges them accordingly. - The inspection fixture is equipped with sensors that detect defects; when a defect is identified, the robot reads the error signal and notifies the surrounding area, enabling automatic sorting and recording.
