By incorporating an ultra-small 3-axis accelerometer developed through micromachine technology, we have achieved ultimate miniaturization and cost reduction. The MC7NM-R20S and MC7NM-L20S allow for range selection of up to 20G and 10G for 3-axis static acceleration values, with a minimum sampling period of 1 msec. The main unit also includes a temperature and humidity sensor, recording changes in 3-axis acceleration, temperature, and humidity over time. Furthermore, the main unit is equipped with an LCD panel for checking recorded data and setting conditions. The recorded data can be easily transferred to a computer via the USB interface of the main unit using the standard attached application, allowing for immediate graph display and printing. Since the recorded data can be saved in CSV format, it can be analyzed using spreadsheet software tailored to measurement purposes. This device is ideal for quality assurance verification of transported goods, as it captures and records the date, time, and acceleration values at the moment of damage or destruction due to vibrations or drops during transport, which have traditionally been difficult to identify.
