  Electrolytic degreasing is a cleaning technology that removes oils and dirt from metal products by immersing them in an alkaline solution and passing an electric current through it, achieving this in a short time. The electric current causes the electrolysis of water, generating fine bubbles of oxygen at the anode and hydrogen at the cathode. These bubbles physically agitate the surface of the workpiece, lifting and removing the dirt. At the same time, the alkaline components in the solution saponify the oils, making them more soluble in water, while surfactants promote their dispersion. The synergistic action of electrochemical, mechanical, and chemical processes results in high cleaning power. Moreover, by selecting the polarity of the current flowing through the workpiece (anode or cathode), optimal cleaning can be achieved according to the material. Anodic electrolysis is used for steel, cathodic electrolysis for non-ferrous metals like copper and aluminum, and periodic polarity reversal (PR electrolysis) is applied for complex parts.
