Improved adhesion, gloss, and rust resistance. The key to high-performance finishing.
Finishing electrolysis is a finishing electrochemical treatment agent that significantly improves the appearance quality, corrosion resistance, and adhesion to subsequent processes (such as painting and bonding) of products by reliably removing residual oxide films, sludge, and fine foreign substances from the surface after plating treatment. It is compatible with various metal platings, such as nickel (Ni), chromium (Cr), and tin (Sn), and is widely used in various fields, including decorative everyday items, residential and industrial components, functional electronic parts, and automotive components. This series offers both barrel and rack types, allowing for flexible operation tailored to product shapes and processing line methods. Additionally, it has a high degree of freedom in setting electrolysis conditions, enabling excellent results even at relatively low temperatures and short times, contributing to energy savings and process shortening. Sunlight's finishing electrolytic agents also consider environmental impact and worker safety, minimizing the use of regulated substances. The post-treatment cleanliness is also good, designed to reduce the risk of dirt and residues after drying. We provide support in both product quality and process improvement, including proposals for optimal formulations tailored to customer needs and assistance in introducing them into existing lines.

basic information
The finishing electrolyte is a post-treatment electrolyte that efficiently removes oxidation films and fine foreign substances after plating, significantly improving the appearance quality, adhesion, and corrosion resistance of the products. We offer a variety of formulations tailored to diverse needs, including considerations for metal materials, equipment conditions, and wastewater treatment, allowing for optimal selection. ● Life X-2: A non-chelating type that does not use chelating agents, significantly reducing the burden of wastewater treatment. Usage conditions are 10–100 g/L, room temperature to 90°C, current density 3–12 A/dm², for anode use. ● NCA: Optimized for iron materials, with a composition focused on pollution control. 60–100 g/L, 50–90°C, 5–12 A/dm². ● E-707: Compatible with both anode and cathode, suitable for multiple applications. Can also be used for iron materials. 50–120 g/L, room temperature to 50°C. ● EC-10: Suitable for copper and copper alloys, demonstrating high cleaning effectiveness in a short time. 40–80 g/L, 30–90 seconds. ● S-70A: A liquid chelating type that exhibits powerful processing performance when used in combination with sodium hydroxide. 20–80 g/L, 30–50°C. All products correspond to sodium hydroxide, and S-70A also falls under the PRTR law. This is a product group that balances safety and environmental considerations.

The finishing electrolyte is an after-treatment agent that effectively removes oxidation films, fine foreign substances, discoloration, and other residues that occur after plating or metal processing, enhancing surface gloss, cleanliness, adhesion, and corrosion resistance. It is applicable to a wide range of materials, including steel, copper, and copper alloys, and is compatible with various processing equipment such as barrels, racks, and continuous lines. 【Main Applications】 - Automotive parts (shafts, seat frames, wheel components) - Electronic device housings, distribution board materials - Decorative hardware for residential and construction materials - Mechanical parts such as screws and fasteners - General parts requiring aesthetic quality, such as home appliance casings 【Adoption Achievements】 It has been adopted in many domestic and international surface treatment factories, particularly in industries requiring high corrosion resistance and high design quality. The environmentally friendly formulation (non-chelating, PRTR non-applicable) is also available, making it easy to introduce in sites with wastewater treatment facilities, and it is a group of agents that excels in the balance of performance, safety, and environmental compatibility.
Detailed information
-
Finishing electrolysis treatment is a post-processing technology that efficiently removes residual oxide films, smears, fine foreign substances, discoloration layers, and more from the metal surface after plating, while simultaneously improving gloss, cleanliness, adhesion, and corrosion resistance. The workpiece (material) to be treated is immersed in an electrolytic solution in which the finishing electrolyte is dissolved, and direct current is applied from an external source, causing electrode reactions that result in fine oxidation or reduction electrochemical reactions on the surface. In the case of anodic treatment, the metal surface is oxidized, making it easier to dissolve and remove unwanted oxide films, organic contaminants, and smears, thereby restoring the material's inherent gloss. In cathodic treatment, reduction reactions promote the removal of oxides, recovery of gloss, or activation of the surface. Furthermore, by selecting the components and concentration of the electrolytic solution, pH, temperature, current density, processing time, and polarity, the finishing quality and material compatibility of the treatment can be freely adjusted. This electrochemical treatment enhances the appearance quality and functionality of the plating film, ensuring reliability in subsequent processes such as painting, bonding, and assembly. Additionally, in recent years, there has been progress in the development of chelate-free types and wastewater treatment-compatible products from an environmental perspective, enabling electrolysis treatment that balances regulatory compliance with on-site efficiency.
