■ "Patent Guidebook" for an Overview of the Latest Patent Information Extracting necessary information from the vast amount of patent data can be challenging. Therefore, the "Patent Guidebook," which provides a technical perspective on patent information, carefully selects about 75 pieces of information from the most recent patents from the viewpoint of engineers, offering fresh and technically useful insights. This report is designed to assist R&D researchers exploring next-generation technology themes. ■ Target Technology Terahertz waves are electromagnetic waves in the boundary region between light and radio waves, and have long been referred to as an unexplored technological domain. This document investigates a wide range of technologies related to terahertz wave communication, from systems to components. The definition of terahertz waves includes a frequency range of approximately 100 GHz to 10 THz.
