PreSense DRIVE is an interactive cabin noise simulation that uses a vehicle simulator to enhance immersion.
Driving Simulator Interior Noise Simulation PreSense DRIVE is an interactive interior noise simulation designed to enhance immersion with real environmental sounds using third-party vehicle simulators. It employs advanced algorithms based on PreSense NVH simulator technology. With immersive acoustic simulation, drivers of the simulated vehicles experience a realistic simulation as if they were driving an actual vehicle. PreSense DRIVE can be integrated into any driving simulator using API, CAN FD BUS systems, or IPG CarMaker.

basic information
Acoustic Subsystem for Vehicle Simulation Advanced algorithms enable real-time, faithful interactive resynthesis of powertrain, tire/road noise, and wind noise. Playback of special event sound samples such as chimes, turn signals, warning sounds, and notifications. Playback of external event sounds: acoustic samples that simulate vehicle pass-by sounds, traffic noise, and sirens from ambulances and police cars, with attenuation dependent on the Doppler effect and distance. Integration with third-party vehicle simulators via API (gRPC interface), IPG CarMaker, and CAN FD BUS system. Multichannel playback with the addition of vibrations from the seat and steering wheel for acoustic reproduction at the driver's ear position. Playback of calibrated and equalized headphone signals using HXB-PreSense (Code 7661), or binaural signals with crosstalk correction using multi-speakers (compliant with ETSI TS 103 224).

Applications/Examples of results
It fully simulates the soundscape inside the vehicle, including powertrain, tire/road noise, and wind noise. Special event sound sources are used for playing sound samples of chimes, turn signals, warning sounds, notifications, and operational noises. External event sound sources simulate traffic sounds, such as a vehicle passing by, and reproduce sound samples that attenuate with distance, accompanied by the Doppler effect, like the sirens of ambulances or police cars. Binaural headphones or speakers are used for playback. Vibration playback using shakers is optional.
