In response to the request to create data for a new mold based on the provided mold, we will introduce a case realized through reverse engineering. First, we scanned the existing mold with a 3D scanner to create detailed mesh data (STL model). Based on that mesh data, we created solid data that can be handled by CAD software. We analyzed the acquired data, reproduced the design of the original mold, and added improvements. Based on the solid data of the new mold, a prototype mold was manufactured by a partner company. Currently, products are being produced based on the reverse-engineered prototype mold and are being sold nationwide.
