Faithful binaural reproduction to the auditory sense.
The playBasic playback unit pairs with the HD OP I.1 or HD CL I.1 headphones, allowing for easily faithful sound reproduction during listening tests on a PC, smartphone, tablet, or in a listening studio. The playBasic is a portable entry-level model that can be directly connected to a Windows PC via USB-C. In addition to playback, it allows for firmware updates, management of various equalizations, and adjustment of limiters using a PC. When connected to a smartphone or tablet via USB-C, the playBasic functions like a standard USB playback device. Operation is done through the HEAD Companion, SQala, or ArtemiS SUITE software. The open-back headphone model HD OP I.1 is designed for use in environments where external noise does not affect listening, such as quiet offices. The closed-back HD CL I.1 headphones are recommended for environments where it is necessary to block out as much external noise as possible, such as listening studios shared by multiple subjects.
