Plasma nitriding / ion nitriding inhibitor
【Characteristics】 CONDURSAL N9 is a solvent-based inhibitor that can prevent nitriding during plasma nitriding treatment. The CONDURSAL N9 coating is conductive, providing good electrical connection between the treated item and the cathode base plate. It has quick-drying properties and a viscosity similar to that of oil-based paints, allowing for easy and precise localized inhibition. 【Usage Instructions】 - The area to be coated must be free of dust, rust, oil, and grease. → Alkaline cleaning or steam degreasing is effective. - Shake the can thoroughly before use. - Can be applied by hand or immersion. - Apply evenly with a soft-bristled flat brush. - Usually, one coating is sufficient. - For processes with very long cycle times, 2 to 3 coatings are recommended. → In that case, complete drying of each layer is essential. - It is important to ensure that it is completely dry before placing it in the furnace. 【Notice】 If you require the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) for our chemicals, please inquire with your sales representative or the sales office where you placed your order.

basic information
**Drying Time** - The drying time is influenced by coating thickness, ambient temperature, component temperature, and humidity, and is approximately 3 to 8 hours. - Complete drying is essential before starting heat treatment. - Confirmation of drying state: fingernail test. - Due to increased viscosity from solvent evaporation, dilute with a small amount of "diluent for CONDURSAL N9." - Solvents not permitted, such as chlorine-based solvents, cannot be used. - Over-dilution may compromise the protective effect. - After use, ensure the can is tightly sealed to prevent viscosity increase. **Removal of Residue** - After treatment, residues of CONDURSAL N9 can be easily removed by: 1. Wiping 2. Brushing 3. Removal with a steel brush. - Cleaning of used brushes and tools is appropriately done with "diluent for CONDURSAL N9" or xylene. *Water usage is strictly prohibited.* **Special Notes** - Since copper powder can spatter from the coating, limit the coating area to 30% or less of the total surface area of the batch. - Residues become powdery after nitriding, so regular removal with a vacuum cleaner is recommended to prevent accumulation in the retort.
