A case where a TPH test was conducted on soil exhibiting an oil-like odor.
Soil with an odor resembling oil was tested for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) using GC/FID, in accordance with the Ministry of the Environment's "Oil Contamination Countermeasure Guidelines." The results of the test revealed that the soil contained oil within a boiling point range corresponding to high boiling point components of gasoline to low boiling point components of diesel, with a concentration of 150 mg/kg equivalent to standard diesel.
