Lead wire processing case: I want to find a contractor that can handle complex requests.

This is a case where the client was in trouble because there were no vendors willing to take on a complex request with many varieties and a small number of each. They reached out to our company for assistance.

At Pearcom, we process lead wires used for component assembly in-house. This time, we would like to introduce a case of a company that was struggling to find a contractor willing to handle a complex request involving a wide variety of parts, each with a small quantity. [Challenge] They were looking for a contractor that could process thick wires, but they were having difficulty finding one that could handle a wide variety of parts with small quantities and complex requests. [Proposal] Since it was difficult to accommodate their needs with existing equipment, we took some time to consider the introduction of new equipment. Although it took time to deliver the initial samples, we were able to find a method for processing without damage and confirmed that we could meet their specifications. [Resolution] To ensure the reliable processing of the requested wires, we needed equipment for thicker materials, so we purchased a cable cutter and a stripping machine for thick wires. Since the wire was difficult to strip, we used a hot knife to burn off the insulation in the stripping area, resulting in a beautiful finish. The stripping was done according to specifications, with no damage, and the wires were sorted by size and properly labeled, making them ready for immediate use upon arrival, which successfully reduced labor costs and pleased the client.
