The "RL/TWSL series" is a fully automatic soft water device that removes hardness components from water using ion exchange resin. The cation exchange resin in the tank adsorbs calcium and magnesium, releasing sodium ions in exchange. When the calcium and magnesium adsorbed on the resin reach their limit, a timer activates the flow of sodium solution (brine), which releases the adsorbed hardness components and discharges them.
