Barracuda Virtual Reactor Overview and Features Barracuda Virtual Reactor (abbreviated as Barracuda) is an analysis software that can simulate the complex coupled behavior of particle-fluid systems, such as fluidized beds, in a relatively short time. It utilizes the MP-PIC method for particle-fluid coupling calculations and performs efficient CFD analysis using GPU parallel technology. It can simulate the three-dimensional transient phenomena of heat transfer, multiphase flow, particles, and chemical reactions occurring within particle-fluid system devices, such as fluidized bed reactors, in a realistic computation time (approximately a few hours). This software is used for the design, scale-up, process optimization, and troubleshooting of chemical plant equipment.
