It is characterized by having the natural texture derived from wood as well as the moldability and durability of plastic. Generally, wood powder, resin, compatibilizers, and other additives are melted and mixed using a kneader or twin-screw extruder, and then pelletized for use. The resins used are mainly polyethylene and polypropylene.
