We would like to introduce a case where the "VD-unit" was implemented in the pass roller of a winding machine to address the risk of defective lithium batteries. When an abnormality occurs in the pass roller within the winding machine, changes in the tension of the sheet and other factors can increase the risk of defective lithium batteries. There are many pass rollers in the equipment, and we were searching for an efficient monitoring method. We confirmed that the diagnostic capability of the "VD-unit" with its teaching function is effective. Since there is no need to set thresholds for each pass roller, the effort required for configuration is significantly reduced even with multi-point monitoring.
