In our patented conventional "release agent-free manufacturing" technology, ABS, a hard material with no elongation, was used as the main raw material. As a result, soft polyurethane would crack and could not conform. Given that many people associate polyurethane with soft materials, we have received numerous inquiries from customers about a release agent-free manufacturing method that accommodates soft materials. Finally, we have realized this "New Release Agent-Free Manufacturing Method." In the previous release agent-free method, a "solution of ABS dissolved in a solvent" was used instead of a release agent. By replacing the main raw material from ABS to "thermoplastic elastomer," we can now accommodate elongation while providing sufficient tear strength and tensile strength. Similar to the conventional patented technology, this method significantly reduces post-processing steps such as sanding and primer application after demolding. The post-demolding process has become similar to that of injection molding. By adopting this technology, we can greatly shorten processes and reduce costs, while also achieving maintenance-free molds. Currently, development is underway for the introduction of this technology into the mass production lines of automobile manufacturers.

This is the world's first decorative molding technology that simultaneously transfers uneven patterns and colors during molding, known as the three-dimensional decorative molding method. It achieves a surface design with a high texture that has never been seen before, and since it can integrally mold embossed uneven patterns and designs, the process can be significantly reduced compared to conventional RIM molding. Traditionally, for different embossed molded products with the same specifications, a separate etched mold was required for each embossing. Therefore, if there were five different designs, five molds would be necessary. Even though urethane RIM molding is said to have low initial investment, the initial investment became a concern when producing a variety of products. By using this three-dimensional decorative molding method, only one mold is needed for the initial setup. By vacuuming a TPO film with embossing onto the mold, the embossing on the surface of the TPO film can be transferred to the surface of the molded product. By swapping out TPO films with different embossing, it becomes easy to perform low-volume production of various urethane RIM molded products. This TPO film can also be used for several dozen shots of molding, making it a technology that can be repurposed for mass production.

By applying the "release agent-free manufacturing" method, a coating of solvent-based thermoplastic resin is formed on the surface of urethane molded products, and this coating is used to perform plating on the urethane molded products. Since plating cannot be done on urethane resin in the first place, there has been no practical application despite the demand for lightweight plated parts. By utilizing this urethane plating technology, it becomes possible to use ABS plating lines, and due to the advantages of urethane RIM molding, plating products can be formed with low-pressure molding at 3 kg/square centimeter, allowing for easy molding and plating of large parts such as those for trucks. Furthermore, by also employing the "three-dimensional decorative method," it is possible to apply plating to products with three-dimensional embossed decorations, enabling the realization of designs that were previously considered impractical.
