The vortex turbine pump generates vortices along the inner wall of the pump by the rotation of an impeller with radial grooves on its outer circumference, repeatedly pressurizing and transferring a relatively small amount of liquid at high pressure. Since the impeller is fixed at a right angle to the shaft, it rotates without contact and experiences no wear, demonstrating its performance particularly in process applications where reliability and stability are required. Additionally, since high pressure can be obtained at low flow rates, it allows for any flow rate setting without bypass, as long as overheating in the pump and the motor's rating are monitored. This eliminates the need for large vortex pumps and large motors, enabling significant overall cost reductions.
