Vascular model with an anterior communicating artery aneurysm in the anterior-posterior circulation.
<Ref. H+N-R-A-002>
Anterior and posterior circulation vascular model with a prior aneurysm.
Anterior circulation model with anterior communicating artery aneurysm 【Features】 ○ The circle of Willis consists of two large posterior communicating arteries, two small P1 segments, and one large posterior communicating artery with a right dominant A1 segment. ○ A small saccular aneurysm (neck size: 3.5-4.0 mm max, lumen size 10.0 mm) is added to the right A1's anterior communicating artery branch. ○ The asymmetric A1 segment is known as a constitutional factor for the development of small saccular aneurysms from a clinical perspective. ○ The presence of such variants in the ex vivo model adds realism to the simulation of the disease known as aneurysm.

Applications/Examples of results
【Purpose】 As an in vitro model, the elastomeric vascular model is suitable for modern imaging modalities such as digital subtraction angiography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging. By using an appropriate circulation fluid, Doppler techniques can also be implemented. As an in vitro model, its transparency to light makes it suitable for video and photographic monitoring.
