Continuous measurement of breathability/pressure loss value, thickness, and basis weight can be performed on inline objects (such as textiles, non-woven fabrics, felt, films, canvas, etc.).
The inline measuring device Combiscan from Swiss Textest AG is a measuring machine that can continuously measure the air permeability (or pressure loss value), thickness, and basis weight (weight) of textiles, non-wovens, felts, films, canvas, forming fabrics, etc., while in motion. This device is designed to be installed on existing production lines. The measurement principle used is the same as that of the widely used FX3386 inline air permeability testing machine profiler. This device supports two types of frames depending on the measurement method.

basic information
Depending on the model of the machine frame, support rolls (up to three) for stable running of the guide rail and sheet are provided. The test head (or multiple test heads) mounted on the carrier moves left and right under motor control. The test head for permeability measurement contacts the target sheet via an air cylinder and continuously measures permeability under a set differential pressure through an interchangeable orifice skirt (or measures pressure loss values at a set flow rate). The thickness measurement test head also contacts the target sheet via an air cylinder.

Applications/Examples of results
Continuous measurement of air permeability (or pressure loss value), thickness, and basis weight (weight) for "textiles, non-woven fabrics, felt, films, canvas, forming fabrics, etc." during inline operation is possible.
Company information
It is the largest reed manufacturing company in the country. With a long history of expertise in the textile industry, we have started handling various physical property testing instruments to meet customer demands. The air permeability and water pressure testing instruments from TEXTEST (Switzerland) boast a track record of being called the global standard due to their operability and reliability. In Japan, we also have a maintenance system certified by the manufacturer.
