basic information
**Overview** "Thermogage" is the product name of a Gardon-type radiometer produced by Vatell. The structure of the sensor itself consists of a differential thermocouple that measures the temperature difference between the center and the periphery of a thin film foil disk. The foil disk is made of constantan and is mounted on a copper cylindrical heat sink. The Thermogage is designed and manufactured so that the full-scale range of the sensor outputs 10mVdc. There is linearity up to about 1.5 times the full scale; output can reach around 15mV, but beyond that, the error in output values increases significantly. Additionally, exposing the sensor to heat flux that greatly exceeds the full-scale range for extended periods can cause damage. For other functions and details, please contact us.
