The decisive factor for its adoption was the camera's frame rate. The cameras he was considering generally had frame rates of 30fps, with the fastest being 60fps, but the FLEX:V100 operates at a high speed of 100fps. Since his work relied on recognizing extracted contours, blurry images were not usable. In this context, the ability of the FLEX:V100 to handle such fast movements was particularly appealing.
