Femap Flow
Simcenter Femap environment, plus fluid analysis!!
Femap Flow is a fluid analysis solver that is used as an add-on to Femap. Customers who are currently using Femap and wish to conduct fluid analysis can do so by adding it to their existing Femap environment, allowing them to perform fluid analysis using the Femap GUI. 【Features】 Not only can fluid analysis be performed, but by using the Femap GUI and model files, structural-fluid coupled analysis with NX Nastran can also be easily conducted. Additionally, by adding the Femap add-on thermal analysis software, Thermal, thermal-fluid coupled analysis can also be easily performed. 【Application Examples】 ○ Steady-state and unsteady fluid analysis are possible. ○ Analysis considering viscosity and compressibility is possible for liquid and gas layers at sonic speeds (up to Mach 4). ○ Modeling of Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids is possible. ○ Turbulence models such as the FTV model, Mixing Length model, and k-ε model can be utilized. ○ Periodic boundary conditions can be modeled. ○ Fans can be defined not only at boundary surfaces but also in flow exposure. ◎ For more detailed information, please refer to the catalog or contact us directly.

Simcenter Femap seamlessly integrates to allow for a stress-free series of analysis tasks, including the creation of analysis models from CAD data, setting analysis conditions, performing analyses, and post-processing. Femap Flow can determine the velocity, temperature, and pressure in steady and unsteady states using numerical solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations. Despite its reasonable price, Femap Flow offers a wide range of analysis capabilities, including laminar/turbulent flow, incompressible/compressible fluid at sonic levels, natural/forced convection, and Newtonian/non-Newtonian fluids. Femap Flow can be used independently or in combination with Femap Thermal and Advanced Thermal. When combined with Femap Thermal and Advanced Thermal, it enables coupled thermal-fluid analysis, making it applicable in a broader range of fields. [Examples] - It can model screens, filters, and isotropic and anisotropic porous media while considering pressure loss. - Even with assembly models where the nodes have mismatched meshes, if the boundary surfaces are on the same plane, they can be connected as a single fluid domain for analysis.
