It is necessary for 3D output from the HDMI Ver. 1.4a output unit. It supports the categories of Mandalay, Primary, Secondary, Extension, and Original. Additionally, there is an option for subjective evaluation with 3D natural images (a total of 13 types, TG45AX404). This allows for quality assessment of various 3D formats using a common 3D natural image.

The 3D test signal allows for real-time adjustment of the parallax and levels of the L/R images by utilizing the parameter variable function of the TG45AX signal generator. This proves to be powerful for evaluating crosstalk, which is crucial in 3D imaging. By using the included image capture tool, it is also possible to import original 3D evaluation images owned by the customer into the TG45AX, enabling the output while varying the parallax and levels of the L/R images.
