Elemental Analysis Service by EDX | JTL
Observation Analysis > Analysis Services > Surface Element Analysis > Element Analysis by EDX
Qualitative and quantitative analysis of elements (B to U) contained on the sample surface will be conducted.
The elemental analysis service using Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX) measures the energy of characteristic X-rays excited by directing an electron beam from the EDX device onto the sample, allowing for elemental analysis of the sample surface from the obtained spectrum. It is possible to analyze where on the sample surface certain elements are present (qualitative) and in what quantities (quantitative).

basic information
【Quantitative Accuracy in the Order of 1,000 ppm】 Quantitative accuracy varies by element, but is generally in the order of several 1,000 ppm (a few percent). The detection limit ranges from 1,500 ppm to 2,000 ppm. 【Implementation of Color Mapping】 It is possible to display where and how much of each element is present in the analyzed sample through color mapping. 【Simultaneous Measurement of Multiple Elements】 Elements from B to U can be measured simultaneously, allowing for detection even when the contained elements are unknown. 【Analysis in a Short Time】 Due to the capability of simultaneous measurement of multiple elements, qualitative and quantitative analysis and color mapping can be conducted in a short time. 【Analysis in Low Vacuum Mode】 The low vacuum mode of a general-purpose SEM allows for analysis of samples that easily release gas or non-conductive samples without the need for deposition.

Company information
Our main business is providing technical services to evaluate the reliability of developed products. We not only provide evaluation data in accordance with standards and regulations, but also propose optimal methods, conditions, and equipment for evaluation purposes, as well as design and manufacture original equipment and jigs for non-standard evaluations. Additionally, we handle three evaluation techniques—measurement, testing, and analysis—comprehensively, allowing us to offer complex services that span diverse equipment and suggest more multifaceted evaluation methods.
