Applying the principles of nature to FA.
【Easy Connection Method】It can be connected to the operating fluid (compressed air) via two anodized aluminum conical connectors. Depending on the application, it is also possible to choose the type of connection screws or adapters. If there are changes in the application or if the rubber cylinder is replaced, the connection screws can be reused. 【MAS: Innovative Principle, Easy Assembly】The Rubber Muscle MAS series is the only actuator that allows you to adjust the length of the cylinder by cutting it with scissors. There are three sizes: 10, 20, and 40, and assembly is easy for any size.

basic information
Rubber muscles are products that apply the principles of muscle contraction. They utilize rubber tubes. The principle is based on the contraction that occurs when pressure is applied to the rubber tube. The foundation of the rubber muscle consists of a sealed rubber tube and reinforced fibers woven in a diamond pattern. By combining these elements, a three-dimensional network is created, and when air is supplied, the tube deforms and generates tension in the axial direction. Due to the network structure, as the internal pressure increases, the rubber muscle contracts to a position of mechanical balance. The maximum contraction length corresponds to about 25% of the initial length. Compared to conventional air cylinders, rubber muscles of the same diameter have approximately ten times the output when pressurized. This means that they can produce the same force with only 40% of the energy, or in other words, with a one-third nominal diameter. The stroke is shorter compared to cylinders of the same length. Rubber muscles are a new product that has opened up entirely new application fields for pneumatic equipment.

Applications/Examples of results
The muscle contraction system is sealed, so compressed air is exhausted only from the intake section. This structure is ideal for applications that require high cleanliness in pneumatic equipment and for applications where the use of electric actuators may pose risks. 【Satisfactory Dynamic Characteristics】The starting force and acceleration are very strong, preventing stick-slip, making it highly suitable for applications that require high acceleration, such as: - Simulation equipment - High-speed cutting processes - Clamping and gripping devices 【Satisfactory Dust Resistance】Highly sealed rubber muscles are optimal for environments with dirt and dust that accelerate the wear of moving machine parts. For example: - Woodworking machinery - Grinding machines 【Satisfactory Cleanliness】The cleanliness of rubber muscles is ideal for applications in fields such as biomedical research, where it is necessary to completely isolate the actuator's air from the surrounding environment.
