The device is manufactured using spintronic GMR technology, resulting in an unprecedented combination of small size, high sensitivity, high precision, and low power consumption. NVE's new ULLGA leadless package measures 1.1mm x 1.1mm x 0.4mm. The bare die (0.625mm x 0.625mm) can be used in applications with very tight space constraints. Configured as a magnetic switch, the output turns ON when a magnetic field is applied and turns OFF when the magnetic field is removed. The applied magnetic field can be of either polarity, and the operating point is very stable with respect to supply voltage and temperature.
