basic information
One common issue in daily operations is this. The current that must flow through the chip from top to bottom is physically contacting other areas, causing current to flow from elsewhere, which prevents the necessary current from flowing to the chip area. As a countermeasure, insulating tape is often wrapped around areas where it may come into contact with the arm or chip. Tape with adhesive tends to melt with heat, so silicone-based tape is commonly used (such as sealing tape for water prevention). The four major conditions for spot welding operations are: 1. Current 2. Pressure 3. Energizing time 4. Electrode (chip). Balancing each of these is important, so basic knowledge, data collection, and testing are essential.
