The Onguard Alkaline Leak Detection Paint System is applied to pipe joints and valves, instantly alerting to leaks of strong alkaline solutions. The alkaline leak detection paint is usually white, but it changes to blue immediately when exposed to strong alkaline substances with a pH of 10 or higher.

Alkaline leak detection paint returns to its original white color when the discolored areas are neutralized with water or a weak acidic solution. Therefore, it can be reused, allowing for easy identification of leak points, reduction of product defects and maintenance costs, and ensuring employee safety. It has many advantages over conventional leak detection sensors, including lower cost, high sensitivity, maintenance-free operation, and ease of identifying leak points.
