X-Coat is an optimal coating treatment for mold components, screws for molding machines, extruders, and compounders, particularly where wear resistance is required.
Due to excellent sliding characteristics, friction resistance is minimized, and the high adhesion to the underlying metal, along with a hardness close to diamond (1800 Hv), ensures that even when metal surfaces are rubbed together without lubricant after coating, they do not wear out for a long time. The low-temperature (60-75°C) electric coating improves the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of metal surfaces, such as molds, with a thickness of 5-10 microns.
