The Media Lab will release an embedded Linux CPU board equipped with the MP201 250MHz from NEC Electronics. The MP201-EK comes bundled with an LCD panel and cross-development environment so that application development can begin immediately after purchase. 【Features】 Linux Kernel The Linux kernel is pre-installed on the flash ROM, eliminating the need for cumbersome Linux porting work. The Linux kernel is a version ported to the MP201 based on 2.6.29. The application uses ucLibc considering binary size, but the kernel is a standard kernel that allows access to all features of Linux, not ucLinux. Fast Boot From power-on to the booting of the Linux kernel, the startup of the X Window System, and the execution of applications is completed in approximately 10 seconds.
