Processing with precision cutting wheels [Features] This is a type of precision processing that uses extremely thin (0.3mm to 1.2mm) high-speed rotating cutting wheels, which gradually shave off the workpiece with very hard particles (grains) that make up the wheel. The cutting action is gentle, akin to grinding, which does not cause destructive damage to the workpiece, resulting in a good surface finish and a sharp cutting edge.
