Since its founding, it has developed smoothly as a specialized manufacturer of wire-wound resistors, widely used primarily in industrial equipment, with the slogan "IWAKI RESISTOR boasts the highest reliability." In 1966, it established the Fukushima Factory in Futaba County, Fukushima Prefecture, and in 1976, it established Niigata Iwaki Co., Ltd. in Kitauonuma County, Niigata Prefecture. In 1990, it founded IKEI Co., Ltd. in Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture. Focusing on "hybrid circuits" as a future product, it began production at the Fukushima Factory in 1982.
