The KG-type Hi-Woods Separator from Kiko Co. can selectively recover solid materials with different specific gravities (light and heavy materials) using an upward flow of water. The upward flow can be adjusted in water volume through inverter control of the pump.

Among the solids sorted by the upward flow generated by the pump, lightweight materials are removed by the upward flow of water, while heavy materials sink in the tank, overcoming the upward flow. Lightweight materials are discharged through a chute after simple dewatering, and the water after dewatering is recycled for the upward flow. Heavy materials are lifted and dewatered by a bucket-type conveyor attached to the tank and are discharged through a chute. A highly durable sand pump is used for the pump, and steel plate liners are used for the wear parts. *There is also a test machine for the Hi-Woods Separator.
