basic information
The fixed ratio hydra-cat mixing device accurately draws in and supplies two-component materials using a single air motor and a two or three-stage lower pump. This allows for synchronized stroke ratios and stroke lengths of all lower pumps, enabling stable and precise supply. The mixing ratio is determined by the combination of the two or three-stage lower pumps described below.

Design of Dual Lower Pumps This mixing device uses two identical-sized lower pumps connected to a single air motor. By using the same size lower pumps for both liquid A and liquid B, a 1:1 mixing ratio can be achieved under a wide range of conditions. The balanced suction force obtained from the equal-sized lower pumps helps prevent early wear of the packing. Design of Triple Lower Pumps The Graco mixing device equipped with triple lower pumps can achieve mixing ratios of 1:1 or greater. Similar to the HydraCat, which consists of dual lower pumps, this design combines three equal-sized lower pumps to achieve balanced suction. The two lower pumps on the left and right are connected via a manifold to draw one material, while the third (central) lower pump is used to draw the other material. This method allows for the selection of various cylinder sizes, enabling a wide range of mixing ratios while maintaining balanced pump capacity and optimal packing life. The HydraCat with a triple lower pump configuration can accommodate mixing ratios of up to 6.4:1.
