For the observation of emitted light from optical communication devices, an O/E conversion sensitivity of several hundred V/W is not required to be very high. On the other hand, high conversion sensitivity is necessary for observing discharge light from PDPs and for optical measurement applications. The SPS series has been developed to achieve high conversion sensitivity with low noise while securing a certain bandwidth by newly designing the first stage TIA and providing two models with variations in the optical system.
