High-speed SAN file sharing software metaSAN
metaSAN is a cross-platform file sharing solution that enables file sharing within a SAN from multiple computers. It allows for the construction of an advanced file sharing environment while leveraging existing file systems, achieving a low-cost multi-platform SAN environment. In addition to the ease of implementation due to OS-native file support, there is no need for a dedicated server machine for the metadata controller used for SAN management, enabling a simple system configuration and reducing the burden on internal training and administrators through operation with a single application.
