Test specimen thickness gauge SS/SD series
The conventional model has been completely redesigned in both design and functionality. Each specification supports both digital and analog types. All models can issue certificates with traceability as required by the ISO 9000 series (additional fees apply). The digital types SDA-12 and SD-12 are battery-operated, while the SDA-25 and SD-25 are powered by an external source. They can also be connected to a printer. Depending on your needs, changes can be made to the measurement range, sensor shape, measurement pressure, minimum reading value, and more. The effective area of the sample stage is 100 mm wide by 110 mm deep for all models.

basic information
In various physical tests of vulcanized rubber, test specimens in the form of sheets or cylinders are used. In many cases, these tests require the "thickness measurement" of the test specimens to be conducted using specified measuring devices and measuring pressures as defined by standards. The Asker thickness gauge series complies with major domestic and international standards that specify "thickness measurement," such as JIS K 6250, JIS K 6301, and ISO 4648.

Applications/Examples of results
It is widely used in various tests, research, and quality control departments in the rubber and elastomer industry. SDA-25 (for both sheet and cylindrical test specimens) ... A digital thickness gauge that complies with JIS K 6250 A method for sheet test specimens (dumbbell-shaped test specimens) and cylindrical test specimens (for compression permanent strain). This single device can measure the thickness for various tests such as tensile, tear, and permanent strain in accordance with the new JIS standards. SSA-10 (for sheet test specimens) ... An analog thickness gauge for sheet test specimens that complies with JIS K 6250 A method. By combining two types of measuring probes with diameters of 5 mm and 8 mm, it can provide the necessary measuring pressure for thickness measurement of both test specimens with hardness below 35 IRHD and those above 35 IRHD.
