To produce high-quality, high-resolution protein crystals, we utilize the effects of electric fields to create protein crystal nuclei under low supersaturation conditions, and we also provide easy-to-use horizontal gel crystallization devices. 【Features】 ◆ A novel crystallization device that utilizes dielectrophoresis for producing high-resolution protein crystals, along with a dedicated power supply for operation. The maximum driving voltage at a frequency of 1 MHz is approximately 28V (AC). ◆ Unlike conventional vertical gel diffusion crystallization devices that use capillaries, our design places the precipitant and protein solution facing each other in the plane through a gel layer, making the dispensing operation and retrieval of grown crystals very simple. ◆ To semi-automate the seed crystallization method, the discharge of the protein solution and the precipitant solution can be performed semi-automatically. This eliminates the need to remove the grown crystals from the wells, preventing damage to the crystals.
